Naturalistic Art - storytelling through nature
Walthamstow Toy Library
46 Ravenswood Road
This venue has level access.
My exhibition for 2015's E17 Art Trail will be a series of pieces made from natural materials. Each piece will be my interpretation of a scene from classic children's stories and nursery rhymes and have been created especially for this event. In this world of mass produced plastic I think there is something quite unique about using natural materials in a modern way.
I will also be running some workshops at the Toy Library for children to make their own natural pieces of art. The cost of this will be £5 per child, with all materials plus a drink and snack included. Places will be limited so please try to book in advance by emailing Helen on firstname.lastname@example.org. The dates and times of these are as follows:
1. Saturday 30th May - 2pm to 3.30pm
2. Saturday 30th May - 3.30pm to 5pm
3. Saturday 6th June - 2pm to 3.30pm
4. Saturday 6th June - 3.30pm to 5pm
Each piece of my artwork displayed at the Toy Library will be available to purchase and take away after the Art Trail has ended. It is possible to personalise each piece with a name and/or a date of birth for that extra special touch. Extra charges will apply for this so please get in touch for any information.
The exhibition will be up for the entire duration of the Art Trail so members of the toy library will be able to see my work while attending any of the scheduled events during this time. For non toy library members you will be able to pop in on the 30th May and 6th June from 2pm to 5pm on both of these days.
Suitable for all.
