From the roads with TWO Little Free Libraries: a multimedia revelation of our residents' favourite books & the stories they tell…..
‘Happily Ever After?’ is the third Art Trail exhibition from the ‘Wingdolph’ community in Wingfield and Randolph Roads in the Village. It will be available to view 24/7 during the 16 days of the Art Trail with displays in front windows and/or front gardens. And when we say it will be multimedia, we mean it! Displays could involve painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, photography, tapestry, knitting etc. Just take a stroll down our roads, looking high and low in order to discover what our favourite books are, how we view them and get some visual inspiration for your own reading. While you’re in the neighbourhood, you could also take a look at our Little Free Libraries (one for kids and one for grown-ups) and pick up or drop off some books.
To kick things off, we’ll also be staging an arts event on Sat 30 May at 2pm on the drive of No 4 Wingfield Road. It will feature live music, interspersed with readings by residents from their favourite books.
We hope to have several music acts including the welcome return of Perkelt - the talented Celtic speed folk duo – who were such a hit at last year’s art event! More info about them here: http://www.perkelt.com/PerKelt_UK.php
