‘Bollywood’ is a form of visual story telling using old traditional folk tales and modern day love stories; these stories are the forefront of all genera’s of film’s being churned out. I wanted to incorporate this romance in my installation this year by attempting to create a set that would be part of a romantic ‘Bollywood’ film. I have asked local E17’ners to send me their love stories which will aid creating my art.

The inspiration behind this years work are the great blockbusters , ‘Mughl-E-Azam’, ‘Devdas’, Jhoda Akbar' and more recently ‘Ram Leela.  Being brought up watching 'Bollywood' created my persona Malekha Mehraj and the art is curated through her eyes.

In addition, I will be working with 3 other artists on 1 travelling piece - here I start on the piece and send it to artist no.2, until the forth artist sends it back to me. The story is of the pieces’ journey and how each artist felt adding their creativity to the previous artists work. You can see the story of this journey on www.thetravellingartstory.blogspot.co.uk.  and the fished art will be part of  ‘The Set of love’ at Vestry House Museum.
