We have taken part in the Art Trail for several years, exhibiting a variety of photographs and children's drawings in our front garden. In 2012 we displayed a giant QR code made out of Lego as a link to a home-made Lego stop-motion animation of the Olympic torch relay passing through E17. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-NYwMHszPQ to view.

Last year we drew on our professional instincts as geographers and personal interests in art and architecture to construct a model village in our garden of the area bounded by Billet Road, Wigton Road and North Countess Road, as part of a garden makeover programme filmed for the BBC series 'Big Dreams, Small Spaces'; it has proved popular with many visitors to our door, especially delivery drivers. See http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p028nd7p for a glimpse of art in the making.

This year, we wish to tell the tale of these last few years through words and pcitures: of how we have approached exhibiting art, and of the people we have met visiting our garden, including the author of  'Model Towns and Villages In Britain...In Public...In All Weathers', who gave us a copy of the book and hopes to include our garden in a future edition. Our model village will be refreshed, and will welcome all visitors large and small.
