This venue has level access.

Come to listen to stories aimed very definitely at an adult audience! You will hear spicy stories, saucy stories and stories from the world of adult life. This is a post 9.30pm watershed evening and is not suitable for young ones under the age of 15. We start at 7.30pm.

The Old Station Yard Cafe is a small, friendly venue for our event, so come promptly to secure seats. The Cafe will be open at 7.15 pm until 8pm, when the external gate to the venue is locked.  Of course you may exit at any time! We expect to finish by 9pm, though you can never be sure with storytelling! The Cafe is open for the sale of drink and delicious food. It has good access for the disabled. Admission is free, but we will invite you to make a donation to Stowtellers.

"Stowtellers", the Walthamstow Storytelling club, provides a venue for those who wish to listen to stories and/or tell stories. The stories told are the traditional tales, myths, legends and folk tales from the past, stretching into the present. Personal stories may also be told.  Our aim is to rekindle an interest in oral storytelling. We are very keen to bring to our venue a diverse audience to reflect the diversity of the community of Walthamstow. The club is run at the Welcome Centre, by St Mary's Church, E17 9RJ, on the second Monday of every month, under the direction of Jumana Moon and Mike Forbes, both experienced storytellers.
