Lega'say' is a community voice project. A collection of stories told of events during 2012, Olympics, Jubilee and other local events. The puppet characters were made by children in a workshop during the Big Draw and the voices are of the story tellers from very young to old, all local to Walthamstow. Including a story from Stella Creasy. Lega 'say' recalls neighbourly parties, Olympic triumphs and how these evnts had affected our community as indiviuals or groups. Lega 'say' was funded by The community development fund. Won best animated film at The Walthamstow International Film Festival 2013 and has been viewed at The Stow Film Lounge and Waltham Forest arts forum. Now we think it's time as many people in Walthamstow see this film as possible. We have very talented, generous and wonderful people In Walthamstow. We were privileged make this animation. Thank you everyone who took part and helped us. We hope you enjoy the film.
The town square is fully accessible for buggies and wheelchairs. The nearest toilets will be at Walthamstow Library and The Mall Walthamstow Selbourne Walk. There are no chairs available, bring your own if you wish. Not a ticketed event. free
