An exhibition of folk, traditional and cabaret dance costumes from Egypt.

You are invited to come and see the intricate beading on many of the costumes, the beauty of both vintage and modern Assiut (Tulle Bi Telli) fabric and many other Egyptian delights. The quality hand crafts will truly dazzle you!

A demonstration, at 4pm, will show dances of Egypt and the costumes they are performed in and gives you the chance to learn a few moves and shimmy along!

Our house will be filled with the mesmerising music of this mystical land with songs spanning the years from Umm Kalthoum, Ahmed Adaweya and Abdel Halim Hafiz to modern day singers such as Hakim and Sherine playing in the background.  On show will be some of the instruments that make this music so great.
