(or outside looking in)
Following a conversation in a Japanese restaurant (where she drank coke, ate soup with noodles), she moved out to Kampala, Uganda to live for a year. She ran out of money and came back to London to work. Returning to Uganda ten months later, everything was the same and everything was different. Her room was next door to a nightclub. It was hot. It sometimes rained. She went running in the mornings. Bowie was her playlist. This attic exhibition – a combination of film, visuals and found objects – explores the narrative of being outside looking in.
