Artist and illustrator Emma Scutt has painted a triptych of portraits of three survivors of female genital mutilation (FGM), telling the powerful, individual stories of the women through pictures and words. Their stories may be difficult to hear, but they must be heard if the practice of FGM is to be successfully eradicated.

On Saturday 30th May I will be introducing the women in the portraits, Hibo Wardere, Leyla Hussein and Alimatu Dimonekene for an informal talk and Q&A about FGM at the church, from 4-5pm. All welcome. The talk will start promptly at 4pm so please arrive in plenty of time.
